Barcelona have announced the signing of Spanish international Adama Traore on loan from Wolverhampton until the end of the current 2021/2022 season.
Barcelona have said in an official statement that Adama Traore's loan will be extended until June 30, 2022, with the possibility of a purchase, and the club will pay the player's salary.
The club added that the presentation of Adama Traore as Barcelona's new player will take place next Wednesday without public presence.
Adama Traore arrived in Barcelona on Friday to undergo medicals in view of signing with Barcelona, with an option to buy for 30 million euros, according to reports.
Adama Traore (born 25 January 1996) began his football career at Barcelona after joining La Masia Academy in 2004 aged eight, and progressed steadily through teams of different age groups.
The player made his first appearance for the first team on December 23, 2013 as a substitute for Neymar against Granada, becoming the ninth youngest player to participate with the first team in Blaugrana history.
The 26-year-old scored his first official goal for Barcelona on December 16, 2014, playing 16 minutes to contribute a stunning individual goal in an 8-1 Copa del Rey victory over Huesca for the 2014-15 season. left Barcelona in 2015 moving to Aston Villa, before moving a year later to Middlesbrough, and from there to his current club Wolverhampton Wanderers in August 2018.
