In a move that angered opponents of the Corona virus vaccine, the French parliament gave its final approval to the government's latest measures to tackle the Corona virus, including not allowing unvaccinated people to go to public places.
Yesterday, the deputies voted by 215 in favor of 58 against, paving the way for the law to enter into force in the coming days.
The new law, which has run into trouble in Parliament, where opposition parties have found some of its provisions too harsh, will require people to obtain a vaccination certificate to enter public places such as restaurants, cafes, cinemas and long-distance trains.
People who are not currently vaccinated can enter these places with negative COVID-19 test results.
On Saturday, the Ministry of Health said that nearly 78 percent of the population had received a full vaccination.
For his part, President Emmanuel Macron, who is expected to seek a second term in the presidential elections next April, told Le Parisia this month that he wanted to "disturb the lives" of those who did not get the vaccine to the point that they end up getting it. .
Thousands of anti-vaccine demonstrators demonstrated in Paris and some other cities the day before yesterday, Saturday, against the law, but their numbers fell sharply from last week, after Macron's statements.
