The Israeli army announced that its helicopters launched raids last night targeting a group of targets inside a compound for the production of rocket-propelled grenades belonging to the "Hamas" movement in Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip.
Israeli army spokesman Avichai Adraee added in a statement that tanks also bombed Hamas military sites on the Gaza border.
According to the spokesman, "the size and quality of the targets is considered a response to the two rockets fired" on Saturday morning from the Gaza Strip towards the sea shores off the greater Tel Aviv area.
The army spokesman held "Hamas" movement responsible for what is happening in the Gaza Strip and "the repercussions of the actions emanating from it."
The Israeli army confirmed that one of its planes came under fire during the air raid, without causing any casualties or damage.
In turn, Hamas-affiliated Al-Aqsa TV said that the movement's air defense forces fired two SAM-7 missiles at Israeli helicopters off the coast of western Gaza City.
