Peskov: Moscow and Washington are on "completely different paths"

 

 Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in an interview with CNN that there is "some understanding" in Russia's relations with the United States and NATO.

Commenting on the recent negotiations, the Kremlin representative added: 

"However, the two sides are in general on two completely different paths, and this is not a good thing, and it is really worrying."

On January 10, a new round of dialogue took place in Geneva, on strategic stability between Russia and the United States. 

This was followed by a meeting of the Russia-NATO Council in Brussels.

On Thursday, January 13, consultations took place in Vienna between the countries of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.

During these discussions, the main focus was on the security proposals submitted by the Russian side to the United States and NATO at the end of last year, against the background of the escalation of the crisis in Ukraine.
