Iran's chief negotiator at the Vienna talks, Ali Bagheri Kani, announced that the countdown to a final agreement on Iran's nuclear program has begun and contentious issues in the nuclear negotiations are narrowing.
The Iranian official's statements came after talks that included the Iranian delegation and the major Western powers in the Austrian capital, Vienna, in which he confirmed that the talks are making progress and that the points of contention known as the open arcs are about to recede, noting that most of the countries participating in the nuclear talks acknowledge this progress.
For his part, the Russian delegate to the Vienna talks, Mikhail Ulyanov, said that the major powers discussed complex issues related to guarantees of non-repetition of the US withdrawal from the nuclear agreement, noting that the Russian side made proposals in this regard.
Ulyanov wrote on his Twitter account that the nuclear negotiations are moving forward, adding that other negotiating parties have a similar assessment of the negotiation process.
